We make all of our CBD tinctures in our own state-of-the-art CFIA certified facility located in Richmond, BC to ensure quality and potency of the CBD. The CBD we use is extracted from top quality hemp strains utilizing proprietary hydrocarbon extraction methods and is known to be one of the purest hemp derived isolates on the market. Our CBD that is used in our products is sourced from a very reputable publicly traded company that follows strict guidelines and testing of their CBD. We then have our finished CBD products independently third party tested to ensure quality and potency of our products.
ADMINISTERING CBD AND DETERMINING THE DOSAGE FOR YAPPETIZERS 500mg STRENGTH CBD is available in many convenient forms and strengths. Extracts can be given from a dropper bottle directly into the mouth, added to food, dropped on a treat, rubbed into bare skin or inside the ears, or dropped on an animal’s paw so they will lick it off. Dosage can vary quite a bit from one situation to the next. It may be necessary to experiment a little to find the right amount, and how often to give. As a general guideline, give 0.2mg of CBD per pound of your dogs body weight per day. SUGGESTED DOSAGE FOR DOGS Typical suggested starting dose: 1 mg – 5 mg per 10 lbs. of body weight 1 drop = 0.5mg of CBD. So for example if your dog weighs 15 pounds then 2 to 10 drops would be the recommended dosage. (Please see dosage chart below) **NOTE** One Full Dropper = Approximately 40 Drops – 10mg of CBD
SUGGESTED DOSAGE FOR CATS For cats typically it is suggested to administer 1mg – 5mg (2 to 10 drops). This would be the total amount administered. (Please see dosage chart below) **NOTE** One Full Dropper = Approximately 40 Drops – 10mg of CBD
Dogs: 10 lbs = 1-5mg 20 lbs = 2-10mg 30 lbs = 3-15mg 40 lbs = 4-20mg 50 lbs = 5-25mg 60 lbs = 6-30mg 70 lbs = 7-35mg 80 lbs = 8-40mg Cats: 1-5mg Start with a dose on the low end of the range. Changes usually occur within 30 minutes. If there is no change after an hour, increase the dosage. Occasionally improvements will take more than one treatment. To control pain, give approximately every 8 hours. For other uses, or to break unwanted behaviour patterns, give once or twice a day. Remember that you cannot overdose and there is no toxicity associated with CBD.
